Israeli colonial settlers set fire to citizens’ homes in the Khillat al-Sidra community near the town of Michmas in occupied Jerusalem, in a new attack on Palestinian civilians.
The general supervisor of the Al-Baidar human rights organization, Hassan Malihat, said in a press statement that a group of colonial gangs attacked the Khallet al-Sidra Bedouin community northeast of Jerusalem and began setting fire to citizens’ homes.
Two elderly men were injured, Saturday evening, during an attack launched by colonists on the Al-Qurainat area in the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron.
A Wafa news correspondent reported that heavily armed colonists, under the protection of occupation soldiers, attacked the Al-Qurainat area, north of the town of Surif, which resulted in the injury of Abdullah Muhammad Ghunaimat (82 years old) and his brother Ibrahim (72 years old), with wounds and bruises, after which they were transferred to be received. Their injuries were described as moderate.
Surif Mayor Hazem Ghunaimat told Wafa that the colonists also burned a vehicle and smashed the glass of Ahmed Kifah Ghunaimat’s house, and the glass of Murad Muhammad Ghunaimat’s house.
In a related context, anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra told Wafa that colonists assaulted a peace activist by storming the home of citizen Muhammad Musa Mughnam in the village of Susya, causing him bruises. Other colonists also stormed the village of Al-Tuba and prevented citizens from leaving their homes and moving around it for several hours.
