On Thursday, Israeli soldiers demolished a Palestinian home in Ethna town, west of Hebron, in the West Bank’s southern part.
Mohammad Hasan Awwad said the soldiers invaded the town and demolished his 120 square/meter home in the Jouret Salem area.
Awwad added that he lived in his home with his family of eight and stated that he received the demolition order two months ago.
Awwad said that he filed appeals that cost him thousands of Israeli shekels but were denied because the so-called Civil Administration Office, the administrative branch of the illegal Israeli military occupation, did not license the property.
The Mayor of Ethna, Jaber Tmeizi, said the property was licensed by the Local Council and added that the army intends to demolish 250 homes and industrial and agricultural structures.
He said the army has been escalating its violations against the Palestinians and their property to benefit the illegal Israeli colonies on stolen Palestinian lands in the town that already lost most of its lands to the illegal Annexation Wall and the colonies.
