On Thursday, Israeli soldiers invaded an area south of Jericho in the northeastern West Bank, demolished a residential shed and a barn, and confiscated solar panels.
Media sources said the soldiers invaded the area near the Maqam Nabi Mousa historic site and demolished the structures.
Resident Odah Ali Rashayda, 52, said the soldiers demolished his residential shed and barn and confiscated his solar panels and generator.
The soldiers also demolished fifteen commercial sheds near Wadi Qelt, owned by several young men from the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp south of Jericho.
Ibrahim Abu Dahouk, a human rights activist in the refugee camp, said the soldiers demolished the sheds, used to sell antiques to tourists, after confiscating their products and added that the young men also have horses and camels that were used to transport tourists in the area.
Many Palestinians protested the invasion and demolitions before the army fired gas bombs and concussion grenades while military surveillance drones flew overhead.
Jericho has been under strict siege for the last six days after several shots were fired at a restaurant run by illegal Israeli colonizers on stolen Palestinian lands south of Jericho.
The Israeli army said it was still looking for the persons responsible for the shooting.
