On Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers detained several members of the teaching staff from two schools in the village of Al-Jab’a, southwest of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.
The Directorate of Education in Bethlehem governorate said the soldiers detained and interrogated several teachers from the Tawafuq Secondary Mixed School and the Al-Jab’a Secondary School for Boys at the military roadblock at the main entrance of the village.
The directorate added that the soldiers held the teachers until after the school day started before releasing them.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers have escalated their attacks on schools, especially those located near military roadblocks and illegal colonies.
On Monday, paramilitary Israeli colonizers, accompanied by soldiers, attacked students and staff at the Arab al-Ka’abna Elementary School in the Arab al-Ka’abna Bedouin community, in the al-Mo’arrajat area, northwest of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, injuring at least seven Palestinians, in addition to assaulting an elderly man near the school.
Earlier Wednesday, Israeli soldiers conducted a wide-scale invasion campaign, and violent searches of dozens of homes and property, in Salfit in the occupied West Bank’s central part, before abducting twenty-two Palestinians, in addition to detaining and interrogating many residents.
In related news, the soldiers invaded and ransacked dozens of homes in the Bethlehem governorate, south of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank, and abducted eighteen Palestinians, including siblings.
In the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, in the central part of the occupied West Bank, the soldiers abducted two young Palestinian men and invaded several neighborhoods and villages in the governorate.
On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers killed Samir Abdul-Rahim Amer, 55, near the Apartheid Wall, north of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank.
It is worth mentioning that, since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army and the illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers have killed 705 Palestinians; 188 of them in Jenin, 151 in Tulkarem, 72 in Nablus, 71 in Hebron, 59 in Ramallah and Al-Biereh, 57 in Tubas, 28 in Qalqilia, 28 in Jerusalem, 19 in Bethlehem, 16 in Jerusalem, 12 in Jericho and the Northern Plains, and 4 in Salfit.
In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have killed 41,252 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children, and injured 95,497 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remained buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
