On Friday dawn, dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded Rommana village, west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part and demolished a Palestinian home.
The invasion was carried out by more than 30 armored military vehicles and a bulldozer that came from the nearby Salem military base, built on stolen Palestinian lands.
Media sources said the army imposed a siege on the village before invading it and stormed the home of Kamel Mahmoud Abu Bakr, 26, before forcing the family out.
Mahmoud, Kamel’s father, said the family was not informed of the demolition order and added that the soldiers bulldozed the two-story 360 square/meter home.
The soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes and used their rooftops as monitoring towers and sniper posts, leading to protests.
During the invasions of homes, the soldiers assaulted many Palestinians; three of them, Adam Abu Sweis, Walid Haidar Al-Ahmad, and his son Bashar, were rushed to the Jenin governmental hospital.
It is worth mentioning that an Israeli security guard killed Kamel Abu Bakr, 22, in Tel Aviv after he had been approached by another security guard whom he allegedly shot and killed on August 5, 2023.
