On Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers detonated a Palestinian home in Shu’fat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank.

Many Israeli military vehicles and dozens of soldiers on foot, invaded the refugee camp, surrounded a home, and forced the family of a Palestinian teenage boy, Mohammad Bassel Zilbani, 13, out of the property before demolishing it.

The soldiers also searched many children while heading to their schools, attacked a woman, and closed several streets.

It is worth mentioning that the army abducted Mohammad on February 13, allegedly after “attempting to stab a soldier.” His family appealed the demolition order, but their petition was denied.

Israel’s policy of home demolition is an illegal act of collective punishment that violates International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, in addition to various international treaties, especially the 1949 Geneva Conventions, which regarded the practice as a war crime.
