Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly nonviolent procession against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Bil’in village, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
The procession started from the center of the village with the participation of Israeli and international peace activists.
The nonviolent protesters chanted for national unity, and for the internationally guaranteed Palestinian rights of liberation, independence and the Right of Return of the refugees.
The protesters marched to Palestinian lands near the illegal Annexation Wall in Abu Lemon area, before the soldiers started firing a barrage of gas bombs and concussion grenades at them.
Medical sources said many Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, and others sustained cuts and bruises.
Dr. Rateb Abu Rahman, the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Bil’in, said the procession also comes in condemnation of Trump’s so-called “Deal of the Century.”
He added that the Palestinians, and their supporters, will continue the legitimate struggle for liberation and independence, and establishing their sovereign Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
