Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, dozens of nonviolent Palestinian protesters in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, directly after noon prayers, and caused many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
Media sources in Hebron said the soldiers broke into and ransacked many homes and occupied their rooftops to use them as firing posts, in addition to invading and searching stores.
They added that many Palestinians suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation and received the needed treatment.
The protest started in front of a local mosque, east of Hebron city, while the participants carried Palestinian flags, and posters calling for ending the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine, and for lifting the deadly Israeli siege and military escalation against the Gaza Strip.
