Clashes broke out between young Palestinian men and the Israeli occupation forces, on Monday evening, at the “Atara” checkpoint, north of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.

Local sources reported that the clashes broke out between young men and the occupation soldiers stationed at the checkpoint, without any injuries being reported.

A local Palestinian reported that an explosive device thrown by Israeli soldiers started a fire.

 

In the same context, Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the entrance of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, and checked the identities of Palestinian residents and searched their vehicles, without any abductions being reported. A number of Israeli colonial paramilitary settlers gathered at the site, in addition to closing the iron gate at the entrance to Aboud village

Also Monday evening, Israeli occupation forces abducted a young man from the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, after beating him.

The Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces detained the young man, Mohammad Badr, in Tariq al-Wad, and then took him to the interrogation room in Bab al-Amoud (Damascus Gate) at the entrance to the Old City and assaulted him, before abducting him.

In the same context, the Israeli occupation court extended today the detention of the two young men, Mahmoud Nasser and Qusay Al-Sheikh, from the town of Ras Al-Amoud, to the second of next March, and the child Ashraf Al-Rajabi from the town of Silwan, until the fourteenth of the same month.

Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv Monday evening, Israeli peace activists held a protest calling for an end of the Israeli settler attacks on Palestinian civilians:
