On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers killed one Palestinian and injured another near the Tunnel military roadblock, west of Beit Jala city, in the Bethlehem governorate.
The two were from Gaza; they were both detained by the soldiers when and one of them allegedly tried to escape; the soldiers shot him at the Tunnel military roadblock.
The slain Palestinian has been identified as Morad Issa Mohammad Al-Farra, from Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Palestine TV said the army abducted the two Palestinians who were later released, but they do not know their way around the West Bank, so they were apparently trying to reach Bethlehem or Ramallah before the soldiers chased them at the military roadblock and opened fire, killing Morad and abducting the other Palestinian.
Palestine TV correspondent said the soldiers also attacked him and his crew and were threatening to shoot them if they did not leave the area.
