Israeli forces killed two Palestinian young men, on Tuesday, after shooting them while they were present near the Apartheid Wall, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that occupation forces killed two Palestinian young men near the Zufin military roadblock, east of Qalqilia; they were transported to the Dr. Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital in Qalqilia.
Media sources identified the slain young men as Mohammad Zaki Daoud Ashqar, 32, and Diaa Sharif Hassan Salmi, 31, after shooting them in the thigh and back respectively.
Sources added that the army denied medical treatment by blocking ambulance crews from reaching the critically injured young men, resulting in excessive blood loss and their subsequent death.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Israeli forces handed over the bodies of the slain men near the Apartheid Wall in the Zufin area east of Qalqilia; ambulance crews then transported the bodies to the Dr. Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital.
On Tuesday evening, large numbers of citizens gathered at the Dr. Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital, marching with the bodies of the slain young men on their shoulders to their family homes.
Loved ones said their final goodbyes before crowds of mourners marched to the old cemetery in Qalqilia city, laying the bodies to rest.
In related news, occupation forces killed the Palestinian teen, Mohammad Yasser Abu Kishk, 18, on Monday evening, after shooting him with live rounds in the Askar Hill area, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
Palestinians in the Nablus governorate gathered to mourn the slain teen, Abu Kishk, in a military funeral, on Tuesday, gathering in front of the Rafidia Governmental Hospital and marching to his family home and burying him in the martyrs’ cemetery in the Askar refugee camp.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 816 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 169 children, and injured 6,450.
The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 222 in Jenin, 183 in Tulkarem, 90 in Nablus, 77 in Hebron, 66 in Tubas, 59 in Ramallah, 50 in occupied Jerusalem, 33 in Qalqilia, 20 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 45,059 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 107,041 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remain buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
