Israeli occupation forces shot and critically injured a Palestinian man on Friday evening in Gaza City, in yet another violation of the “ceasefire” agreement that continues to be undermined by repeated Israeli attacks, movement restrictions, and demolition operations across the Gaza Strip.

Local sources said the man was struck by live fire while standing in Palestine Square (al‑Saha), after occupation forces positioned east of Gaza City opened fire toward the area. He was transferred to hospital in critical condition.

Israeli occupation forces continue to breach the “ceasefire” through repeated airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting areas where displaced Palestinians are sheltering, in addition to ongoing demolition and bulldozing operations inside what is known as the “yellow line,” a zone where the army has destroyed homes, infrastructure, and agricultural land.

Humanitarian agencies have repeatedly warned that these violations are worsening an already catastrophic situation.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported this week that Israeli military violations inside Gaza — including firing near populated areas, restricting movement, and obstructing aid — has “severely undermined the functionality of the ceasefire and continues to endanger civilians.”

Similarly, UNRWA stated in its latest update that Israeli forces continue to block or delay humanitarian convoys, impose unpredictable access restrictions, and conduct military operations near shelters, placing displaced families at constant risk.

UNRWA added that repeated firing incidents near distribution points have forced several aid teams to suspend or reroute operations.

Despite the declared “ceasefire,” Gaza remains under tight movement restrictions, with Israeli occupation forces maintaining severe limits on the entry of goods, fuel, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid.

Travel for medical patients, students, and workers also remains heavily restricted, contributing to what OCHA describes as a “deepening humanitarian collapse.”

These ongoing violations highlight the fragility of the ceasefire and the continued exposure of Palestinian civilians to military fire, displacement, and life‑threatening shortages across the Gaza Strip.

Since the alleged “ceasefire” announced on October 11, 2025, the Ministry has documented 824 Palestinians killed and 2,316 injured, including 764 bodies recovered in retrieval operations from destroyed neighborhoods.

Health officials said the numbers continue to rise as more bodies are uncovered and as wounded Palestinians die from their injuries in overstretched hospitals.

Cumulatively, since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Ministry of Health reports 72,601 Palestinians killed and 172,419 injured in the devastated coastal enclave.

Humanitarian organizations warn that the real toll is significantly higher due to the large number of missing persons, the collapse of the health system, and the severe shortages of medicine, fuel, food, and clean water under the ongoing siege.

The Health Ministry called on international organizations to intervene immediately to protect medical centers and ensure the entry of fuel, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
