Israeli occupation forces shot and injured a Palestinian child during a military invasion in the city of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, on Wednesday morning.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated its medical teams evacuated a 14-year-old boy to the hospital after he was struck by live ammunition in the back and pelvis.

The incident occurred in the Al-Marah neighborhood, where Israeli forces had stormed the area, besieged a home, and demanded that its occupants surrender.

The invasion was accompanied by heavy gunfire and the presence of surveillance drones overhead.

Foot patrols were deployed across multiple neighborhoods, including Al-Marah, Al-Sibat, the eastern part of the city, and the vicinity of Ar-Razi Hospital. Residents reported severe movement restrictions and widespread disruption.

In response to the escalating military activity, the Jenin Directorate of Education announced the suspension of classes for Wednesday, postponing the school day to Thursday to safeguard students and teaching staff.

This latest incursion underscores the intensifying Israeli military attacks in Jenin, which have increasingly targeted civilian areas and disrupted daily life.
