Late on Monday night until dawn hours Tuesday, many Israeli military vehicles invaded the city of Tubas, in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part, before the soldiers destroyed streets, shot a young man, and abducted three Palestinians.

Media sources said many military vehicles, including a bulldozer, invaded the city from its eastern area.

They added that the soldiers advanced into several neighborhoods of Tubas, stormed, and ransacked homes, leading to protests.

The soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs, wounding a young man with a live round in the thigh.

Palestine TV correspondent in Tubas, Amir Shahin, said the soldiers invaded Tubas after midnight, and headed to Ath-Thughra Street, leading to protests, before the soldiers headed to the city center area, where they stormed and ransacked homes, causing serious damage.

The soldiers also abducted Omar Abdel Aziz Abu Mohsen and Osama Abdel Razek from their homes and released one later.

Palestinian fighters also exchanged fire with the soldiers in a few parts of Tubas, while the military bulldozers were destroying streets and infrastructure; the invasion lasted for four hours before the soldiers withdrew from the city.

Tubas and the Northern Plains of the West Bank remain closed and isolated by the Al-Hamra and Tayasir military roadblocks, and the many sudden roadblocks the soldiers installed around the city and the governorate, especially on streets leading to nearby towns and other parts of the occupied West Bank.

In related news, the soldiers abducted a young man, Moath Fuad Bani Odah, from Tammoun town, south of Tubas, while trying to cross the Tayasir military roadblock, east of Tubas.
