Israeli occupation forces launched new airstrikes and carried out artillery and naval shelling across several areas of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, marking the latest in a series of violations of the “ceasefire agreement” that came into effect on 10 October 2025.
Artillery fire targeted the eastern edges of the Al‑Tuffah and Al‑Zaytoun neighborhoods in the eastern areas of Gaza City, accompanied by bursts of gunfire from military vehicles stationed along the perimeter.
Warplanes also struck multiple locations east of the Al‑Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while additional airstrikes hit areas southwest of Rafah in the southern part of the Strip.
In northern Gaza, Israeli aircraft carried out strikes and detonated residential buildings east of Jabalia and in Beit Lahia, alongside sustained artillery shelling. Naval vessels fired several shells toward coastal areas in the northern Gaza Strip.
Residents in Beit Lahia reported that Israeli forces detonated explosive‑laden vehicles near the Sheikh Zayed roundabout, while further demolitions targeted homes near the Zayed intersection.
Similar demolitions were documented in residential blocks east of the Al‑Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City. Airstrikes also hit areas of Israeli military deployment east of Rafah, Khan Younis, and the Al‑Bureij refugee camp.
On Saturday, hospitals in the Gaza Strip reported fourteen Palestinians killed, and seventeen others injured in 24 hours as Israeli forces conducted new attacks in continued violations of the “ceasefire” announced on October 11, 2025.
The humanitarian situation continued to deteriorate as severe winter weather swept the Strip. Medical sources confirmed that two children died from extreme cold in the past 24 hours—one in Deir al‑Balah and another in Gaza City—bringing the total number of children who have died from cold since the onset of winter rains to fifteen.
According to the Ministry of Health, 439 Palestinians have been killed and 1,223 injured since the “ceasefire” began on 11 October 2025, while 688 bodies have been recovered from destroyed areas. Since October 7, 2023, the cumulative toll of Israeli military operations has risen to 71,409 Palestinians killed and 171,304 injured.
The continued strikes, demolitions, and shelling come as Gaza’s population faces catastrophic humanitarian conditions, with widespread displacement, collapsing infrastructure, and limited access to shelter, heating, and medical care.
