Israeli occupation forces on Thursday carried out a series of deadly attacks across the northern and southern Gaza Strip, killing several Palestinians and injuring others in drone strikes, sniper fire, and shelling that targeted civilian areas in the Jabalia refugee camp and the Khan Younis district.

In the Al‑Qasaseeb neighborhood of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, a drone strike killed Tamer Eyad al‑Mitweq after Israeli aircraft targeted a group of civilians.

Local sources said the strike caused additional injuries and widespread panic in the densely populated area.

Hours before his killing, al‑ Mitweq had posted a message mourning his father, Eyad al‑ Mitweq, who was killed two days earlier when Israeli forces struck his electric bicycle near the Abu Shreikh roundabout west of Jabalia.

Two additional Palestinians were killed in separate attacks in northern Gaza. One man was killed when an Israeli quad‑copter drone dropped an explosive device on Gaza Old Street in Jabalia al‑Balad. Another Palestinian was shot dead by an Israeli military sniper in front of an UNRWA clinic in the Jabalia refugee camp.

In the southern Gaza Strip, several Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis. Medical teams reported difficulty reaching some of the injured due to continued fire and the risk of renewed strikes.

In its daily report, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said hospitals received two Palestinians killed and 24 injured over the past 48 hours.

Since the declared “ceasefire” on October 11, the total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza has risen to 857, with 2,486 injured and 771 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.

Since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the cumulative toll has reached 72,744 Palestinians killed and 172,588 injured, according to the Ministry of Health as of 14 May 2026.

The ministry noted that many victims remain under the rubble or in the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them due to ongoing Israeli attacks.
