“Combatants for Peace” movement organized a joint protest vigil against the law passed by the Israeli occupation regarding the “execution of Palestinian prisoners” on Friday afternoon at the northern entrance to the city of Beit Jala.

During the vigil, participants raised slogans denouncing the decision, including: “Together against the death penalty” and “Freedom for all prisoners.” Demonstrators also chanted against the occupation government’s policies, which they described as racist, and condemned the ongoing war of ethnic cleansing.

Jamil Qassas, the movement’s Palestinian coordinator, stated:

“We are here today at the Beit Jala roundabout to raise our voices against this fascist and racist law. We are struggling against the legislation to execute Palestinians, and our activities will continue across all areas of the West Bank until this unjust law is repealed.”

Prior to the march, CFP activists launched an ongoing campaign via a press conference demanding the cancellation of the new execution law, calling on liberation forces worldwide to take a firm stand against this legisl

ation. In their statement, activists emphasized that true security is not achieved through gallows or suppression; rather, the only solution lies in ending the occupation and recognizing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. They further demanded justice for all as a fundamental pillar for regional stability.

During the march, occupation army and police forces surrounded the area and declared the site a “closed military zone,” threatening participants with immediate arrest if they did not end their vigil. Despite the activists’ attempts to march along the road adjacent to the entrance of Beit Jala, the occupation police forced them to disperse and prevented them from completing their demonstration.
