Updated: Israeli occupation forces killed six Palestinians, including a journalist, and injured dozens on Tuesday and earlier Wednesday, in a series of artillery, drone, and air strikes targeting Gaza City, Khan Younis, al‑Bureij, Jabalia, and Rafah, in the besieged, starved and devastated Gaza Strip.
On Wednesday morning, Palestinian medical sources have confirmed that Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza city. The slain Palestinian has been identified as Jalal Obeid, 46.
On Tuesday, Israeli artillery struck a house in the al‑Sanafour area of the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast Gaza City, killing two civilians, including a child, and injuring 15 others.
In a separate attack, artillery bombed the Daraj school sheltering displaced families in central Gaza City, causing multiple casualties among women and children.
South of the Strip, one civilian was injured by Israeli fire in the cemetery area west of Khan Younis. Later Tuesday, a drone strike in Khan Younis killed photojournalist Mohammad Essam Wadi and wounded journalist Mohammad Abdul‑Fattah Esleih, brother of slain journalist Hasan Eslayeh.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian in the al‑Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, amid continued demolitions of homes and bombardments across the Strip.
Reporters confirmed that Israeli warplanes carried out heavy airstrikes on Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, destroying residential buildings.
In eastern Gaza City, Israeli forces detonated armored vehicles and booby‑trapped military robots near the al‑Shuja’iyya junction, while drones dropped bombs on homes in the al‑Sanafour area of the Tuffah neighborhood, accompanied by intense gunfire.
Israeli artillery also shelled eastern Khan Younis, while military vehicles opened fire east of the city. Helicopter gunships struck Rafah, coinciding with artillery fire and machine‑gun attacks north and east of al‑Bureij camp.
Since the October 11, 2025, when “ceasefire” took effect, Israeli attacks have continued. Al Jazeera reports that 356 Palestinians have been killed and 909 injured during this period alone, underscoring that violations of the ceasefire are ongoing and deadly.
Israel has now killed more than 70,000 Palestinians and injured over 170,000, the majority of them children, women, and elderly people. Thousands of the wounded have suffered life‑altering conditions such as amputations, permanent disabilities, and severe trauma.
At least 463 Palestinians, including 157 children, have died from hunger, as Israel’s blockade has cut off food, water, and humanitarian aid.
