The Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem, on Saturday, condemned the Israeli settlers’ invasion of its property in the northern Jordan Valley village of Tayasir.

In a statement yesterday it said “thousands of Israeli settlers entered with no permission, in clear violation of private property laws,” Days of Palestine reports.

The armed settlers were trespassing on the property, under Israeli army protection, several Palestinian villages in the region were invaded, in a clear act of incitement against the Palestinian civilian population.

The Patriarchate said that it is “very concerned not only from the settlers’ violations of its properties, but also from the lack of action by the Israeli authorities to put an end to such offenses.”
