On Monday, August 25th, day 689 of Israel’s ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, and Day 182 since the Israeli resumption of the genocide, when Israel broke the mediated ceasefire deal on March 18th, Israeli occupation forces killed 89 Palestinians, including 6 journalists. 11 Palestinians died of starvation.
Monday morning, an Israeli bomb targeted the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, killing five journalists and sixteen patients and doctors. This is the third time in two weeks that Israeli forces have targeted journalists, specifically those reporting from Gaza’s hospitals about the dead and injured from the ongoing Israeli assault.
Among the 89 civilians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza today was Sarah Abu-Moamar from Gaza (pictured above). killed her along with her parents and tore her into pieces that people couldn’t recognise who they were burying. The only survivor is her brother. Sarah was only 5.
Since March 2, 2025, the occupation authorities have closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of most food and medical aid, causing famine to spread within the Gaza Strip.
Starving Palestinian child Muayad Naim Al-Saksak, who was battling cancer, tragically died after being denied the chance to travel from Gaza for life-saving treatment.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday the death of 11 citizens, including two children, due to starvation and malnutrition, recorded by hospitals in the Gaza Strip, during the past 24 hours .
Medical sources reported that the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition has risen to 300, including 117 children .
Also Monday, the United Nations renewed its warning against Israel’s continued restriction and obstruction of the entry of humanitarian aid convoys into the Gaza Strip, which hinders life-saving operations.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stéphane Dujarric, at a press conference held tonight in New York.
Dujarric noted that staff from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that Israel continues to obstruct humanitarian aid convoys .
He added that the Israeli authorities on Sunday rejected eight of the 15 humanitarian aid missions requiring coordination, and prevented the remaining seven missions .
He stressed that the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has warned that the ongoing airstrikes and hostilities in the Gaza Strip, including attacks on health facilities, are causing further civilian casualties and damaging or destroying vital infrastructure.
He reported that the number of forcibly displaced people in Gaza has exceeded 800,000 people since Israel broke the ceasefire in mid-March.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 62,744 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 158,259 others, in an incomplete toll, as a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue crews are unable to reach them.

Injuries were reported in the bombing of a residential apartment in Al-Shati refugee camp on Al-Bahr Street, west of Gaza City.

A Wafa news correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation targeted those waiting for humanitarian aid in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to the killing of two and the injury of others.
In addition, the Israeli occupation launched a raid on a house in the Camp 1 area in Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip, which led to the killing of a citizen and the injury of three others.
