On Monday, the Israeli army continued its bombing and shelling of various parts of the devastated, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including children and women.
Ten civilians, including six children, were killed on Monday evening in an Israeli airstrike targeting areas in central and southern Gaza.
According to reports, three civilians were killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone struck a group of displaced families in the Al-Masha’la area, south of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. Medics rushed to the scene, transferring the wounded and the deceased to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
Also, fifteen Palestinians were killed and many injured when the army bombarded a gas station, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.
In another attack, a mother and her six children were killed when an Israeli missile struck a tent belonging to the displaced Kassab family in Mawasi Rafah, in Gaza’s southernmost region. Their bodies were transported to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
Additionally, Israeli occupation forces bombed the generators at the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, completely cutting off power. This disruption endangers the lives of wounded and sick patients receiving treatment.
Ten Palestinians were also killed and many others injured when the army shelled a school housing displaced families in Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

It is worth mentioning that On Monday, Israeli authorities released ten Palestinian detainees from Gaza.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reported that its teams facilitated their release, transferring them from the Kerem Shalom Crossing to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The ICRC also coordinated with their families to reunite them.
The organization emphasized its regular role in assisting the transfer of freed detainees to Gaza, ensuring their arrival at hospitals in coordination with the Ministry of Health. Medical examinations, clothing, and hygiene essentials were provided to support their reintegration.
As of early May, the number of Palestinian detainees held by Israel exceeded 10,100, including 37 women, more than 400 children, and 3,577 administrative detainees (held without charges or trial).
Among them are 1,846 Gaza detainees whom Israeli authorities classify as “unlawful combatants.” This figure does not account for all detainees from Gaza, especially those held in military camps.

In related news, six humanitarian aid trucks entered Gaza on Monday via the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) Crossing, southeast of Rafah.
The trucks, carrying nutritional supplements for children, were delivered to UN-affiliated organizations. This marks the first instance of aid being permitted through since Israel shut down Gaza’s border crossings on March 2.
Tom Fletcher, the UN Emergency Relief Coordinator, described the limited aid delivery as “a drop in the ocean of urgent needs.”
He emphasized the necessity of allowing significantly larger quantities of aid into Gaza, starting Tuesday morning.
Gaza requires the daily entry of 600 trucks carrying food supplies and 50 trucks of fuel to meet the needs of residents suffering from extreme hunger due to the ongoing blockade and conflict.
Furthermore, the foreign ministers of 22 countries, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and Australia, called on Israel on Monday to “fully and immediately” allow humanitarian aid into Gaza under the supervision of the United Nations and non-governmental organizations.
A joint statement issued by the German Foreign Ministry emphasized that the UN and humanitarian agencies “cannot support” Israel’s newly implemented mechanism for delivering aid to Gaza.
Meanwhile, the French president, along with the British and Canadian prime ministers, warned that they would not stand “idly by” in response to what they described as “disgraceful actions” by the Israeli government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They hinted at taking “concrete steps” should Israel fail to halt its operations and facilitate the entry of humanitarian assistance.
On Monday, at least 126 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed and dozens more injured in Israeli attacks across the coastal enclave.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed at least 53,486 Palestinians, including more than 15,626 children, 9,808 women, and 245 journalists, with more than 121,398 injured, largely women and children, across the coastal region. These figures are not final, as many victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded in areas inaccessible to rescue teams.
