On Saturday and Sunday, a total of 78 Palestinian detainees were released from Israeli occupation prisons as a part of the humanitarian truce between Israel and the Islamic resistance movement (Hamas).

The International Committee of the Red Cross facilitated the transfer of detainees to the Israeli Ofer prison where family members awaited the release of the detainees.

It is important to mention that soldiers attacked those present in front of the prison each of the three days that prisoners have been released.

On Saturday Israel released 6 female detainees and 33 child detainees from occupation prisons, they were identified as;

Meanwhile, on Saturday night, Israeli police stormed the home of Israa Riyad Jamil Jaabis in occupied Jerusalem, and assaulted journalists forcing them to leave.

The truce agreement stipulated that 150 Palestinian detainees would be released from occupation prisons in exchange for the release of 50 hostages held by the resistance group.

The Hamas resistance group released 24 hostages on Friday, 17 on Saturday, and 17 on Sunday, according to Reuters.
