Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank overnight and into Friday morning, breaking into homes, assaulting residents, and abducting several Palestinians, including a mother and her children. The soldiers also invaded a mosque near Hebron and assaulted a worshipper.
Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers invaded the town of az-Zawiya, west of Salfit in the central West Bank, where they broke into the home of former detainee Ayman Hamed.
The troops abducted Ayman’s wife and children in an apparent attempt to pressure him to surrender himself. The invasion was accompanied by gunfire and extensive searches of homes and property.
In Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Mohannad Jaber Hasanant, 20, from the Dheisheh refugee camp, south of the city, after breaking into and searching his family’s home.
In Beit Jala, west of Bethlehem, soldiers invaded the city, broke into the home of Mohammad Zaghloul, and severely assaulted him, causing various injuries.
Israeli forces also carried out a separate invasion in az-Zawiya, west of Salfit in the central West Bank, where they broke into the home of Ayman Moqadi, searched the property, and assaulted members of his family.
The troops detained Ayman’s wife and four children, assaulting his son, Abdul-Rahman, before releasing the family hours later near the town of Deir Ballout.
In the northern West Bank, soldiers invaded the town of Zawata, west of Nablus, conducting extensive searches in a residential building. No abductions were reported.
Additional invasions were documented in other areas overnight, including the town of Beit Awwa, west of Hebron in the southern West Bank, where soldiers fired live rounds and tear gas canisters and directly targeted Palestinian vehicles.
In related news, Israeli soldiers unleashed a military dog on a Palestinian man and terrorized him during an invasion of a mosque in the town of Tarqumiya, west of.
Video footage shows the soldiers setting the dog on the unarmed man as troops stormed the mosque, leaving him defenseless and visibly distressed.
Furthermore, the army invaded several towns across Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank at dawn on Friday, breaking into homes and deploying military vehicles throughout residential areas.
Local sources reported that soldiers invaded the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, where they broke into and searched a home.
Troops also invaded the village of Kafrit, breaking into and searching several houses, in addition to storming another home in the nearby village of ‘Aba.
The sources added that Israeli forces later invaded the Jabal Abu Thahir neighborhood and the eastern area of Jenin city, where military vehicles were deployed throughout the streets during the operation.
The widespread invasions, home break-ins, and abductions come amid escalating Israeli military activity across the occupied West Bank, with residents reporting increased nighttime incursions, assaults, and pressure tactics against families.
