Before dawn on Monday, Israeli forces handed over the body of the slain child, Rami Hamdan Al-Halhouli, 13, from the Shu’fat refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.

Palestinian gathered, at dawn Monday, to mourn the slain child, in Anata town, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.

After performing the funeral prayer in the town’s mosque, loved ones laid the child to rest in the Anata town cemetery.

Media sources added that occupation authorities imposed restrictions on the family, allowing a limit of 50 mourners, and dictating that the body be buried in the town of Anata instead of the Shu’fat refugee camp.

An Israeli sharpshooter shot and killed the child, Al-Halhouli, on March 12, in the Shu’fat refugee camp during confrontations between local Palestinian youths and the Israeli army.

In related news, on Monday afternoon, occupation forces attacked a funeral procession in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, causing many to sustain inhalation injuries.

Soldiers stormed the Islamic cemetery near “Karantina” in the Al-Sahla neighborhood, blocked mourners from entering the cemetery, and fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades, causing several people to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

It is important to mention that Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man, Mahmoud Abdul-Hafeth Youssef Nofal, 42, in the same cemetery, on Saturday, March 16.
