On Wednesday, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian child and wounded others during a military incursion into the town of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Shireen Observatory confirmed that Israeli soldiers shot and killed the child, Omar Amer Zyoud, 15, after storming the town of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin, on Wednesday afternoon.
Media sources said that a large army force invaded Silat al-Harithiya town with many armored vehicles, stationed at its entrance, and infiltrated its streets, sparking protests from local Palestinian citizens.
Sources added that the invading soldiers opened fire with live rounds at those who resisted the incursion, shooting at least three citizens, including the slain Zioud, who sustained a critical gunshot wound to the chest.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that a critically injured citizen was transported by civilian vehicle to the Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin.
The PRCS added that its ambulance crews transported another child (17) to hospital after soldiers shot him in the leg with live bullet fragments, in addition to transporting an 18-year-old young man who was shot with a live round in the hand.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 115 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 19 children and 4 women.
Occupation forces have killed 50 Palestinians in Jenin, 20 in Tubas, 15 in Nablus, 14 in Tulkarem, 5 in Hebron, 3 in Qalqilia, 3 in Bethlehem, 3 in Jerusalem, 1 in Ramallah, and 1 in Salfit.
In related news, Israeli forces killed the Palestinian young man, Hamza Muhammad Saeed Khammash, 33, after shooting him at close range during a military invasion into the Old City of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
