Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man on Friday, and abducted another after storming the town of Tel, southwest of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

The General Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Palestinian Health Ministry that the young man, Younis Walid Muhammad Ishtayeh (24 years old) was shot and killed by occupation forces, who confiscated his body.

Media sources reported that undercover Israeli agents (Musta’ribeen) besieged the home of Walid Ishtayeh, on Friday afternoon, after infiltrating the town of Tel, southwest of Nablus.

The sources added that occupation forces opened fire with live ammunition and concussion grenades bombs at the besieged house, shooting Ishtayeh before abducting him and another young man.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that the occupation forces prevented its ambulance crews from reaching the wounded young man inside the besieged house.

The Times of Israel quoted the army who claimed Ishtayeh was “active in the Palestinian police” and stated that the second suspect abducted at the scene also belongs to the Palestinian Authority police.

In a joint statement, the occupation army and the Shin Bet alleged that Ishtayeh was involved in an earlier shooting operation in Nablus city, which resulted in the injury of an Israeli soldier. The statement added that its forces arrested a second Palestinian police officer after he surrendered himself at the scene.
