Israeli forces killed a young Palestinian man on Monday, after opening fire on his vehicle at the Anabta military roadblock, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the young man Abdul-Rahman Hamza Abdul-Rahman Abu Ar-Rob, 31, was shot and killed by occupation forces at the Anabta military roadblock. The Ministry added that Al-Rob was a resident of Jalbun town, east of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews were notified of an injured citizen at the Anabta military roadblock, however occupation forces blocked its crews from approaching the scene.
Media sources reported that Israeli soldiers opened fire at a civilian vehicle on Monday morning, obstructing the work of ambulance crews, and closing the roadblock in both directions.
In a statement, the Israeli army claimed that the young man attempted to carry out a car-ramming attack against its soldiers, while admitting that there were no injuries among them. It is important to mention that Israeli forces confiscated the young man’s body.
The occupation army alleged that a vehicle “accelerated towards the soldiers in a way that posed a direct threat,” before firing live ammunition, where soldiers “managed to neutralize him”.
In related news, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man and confiscated his body in the village of Khursa, near Dura town, southwest of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
Before dawn Monday, occupation forces stormed Khursa village, and shot 22-year-old Ramzi Abdul‑Hakim al‑‘Awawda, denying him medical treatment, which resulted in his death. The army proceeded to seize the young man’s body, taking it to an unknown location.
