Media sources said that occupation soldiers opened fire with live rounds towards a Palestinian young man and his friend, shooting him in the back and causing a serious injury.
According to eyewitness reports, the young man and his friend were traveling in a vehicle in the town when soldiers opened fire at them, shooting Amir Abdul-Rahman Majd, 30, in the back with live ammunition.
The young man’s friend, identified as Muhammad Hassan Suwaidan was also injured with shrapnel (bullet fragments), before Palestinian medics arrived at the scene.
As the ambulance was transporting the wounded young men to the hospital in Qalqilia, the army stopped the ambulance despite the serious injury of Majd.
Meanwhile, soldiers abducted Suwaidan from the ambulance, despite him suffering a moderate injury.
After an unknown period of time, soldiers allowed the ambulance to transport the seriously injured Majd to the Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds shortly after arrival.
