On Monday, Israeli forces have continued their siege and aggression against the city of Tulkarem and the Tulkarem refugee camp, in the northwestern part of the West Bank, for 22 consecutive days.

The army expanded its aggression on Feb 9 to include the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of the city, killing three Palestinian citizens, injuring seven others, and besieging the camp.

On Monday evening, Israeli forces escalated its aggression against the city and its two camps, burning and demolishing citizens’ homes, destroying vehicles, and destroying vital infrastructure.


WAFA correspondent reported that military reinforcements, including armored bulldozers, were pushed to Tulkarem city and its two camps, while they continued razing streets and destroying private property.

Media sources said that the army tightened its siege on the eastern neighborhood of Tulkarem city, while military bulldozers destroyed infrastructure, including streets, and citizens’ vehicles.

Sources added that Israeli forces prevented citizens’ movement in the eastern neighborhood, forced shops to close, in addition to detaining, abusing, and interrogating citizens.

WAFA correspondent reported that the army continued destroying infrastructure and demolishing homes, on Monday morning, in addition to storming and occupying two houses in between the two camps, before converting them to military barracks.

In the Tulkarem refugee camp, occupation forces continued to bulldoze streets and demolish citizens’ homes, while they continued their siege of the Nur Shams refugee camp, amid home invasions and the sounds of explosions and gunfire.


Media sources said that Israeli soldiers burned a number of homes in the Al-Samran neighborhood in the Tulkarem camp, including the home of the slain Wassim Anbar, while sounds of gunfire and explosions could be heard.
