Israeli forces carried out a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, on Wednesday, assaulting civilians, breaking into homes, abducting residents, and enabling armed illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers to attack Palestinian communities and property.
In the northwestern area of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces assaulted two young men in the town of Beit Hanina, causing bruising after stopping their vehicle and firing tear gas canisters directly at it, shattering its windows. The identities of the two men were not immediately known.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces invaded the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, where they abducted Taysir Elian from inside the Abu Khalil station and transferred him for interrogation.
Local sources reported that the occupation authorities later extended his detention until Sunday. During the same invasion, soldiers forced shop owners to open their stores as part of a broad military deployment in the area.
In parallel, Israeli forces invaded the Qalandia refugee camp north of occupied Jerusalem, deploying foot patrols in several neighborhoods and breaking down the doors of homes during searches.
Multiple areas of occupied Jerusalem continue to witness repeated invasions marked by abductions, home searches, and property destruction.
Later at night, Israeli forces again invaded both Beit Hanina and the Qalandia refugee camp, positioning military vehicles at the camp’s entrance and firing tear gas canisters. No injuries or home invasions were reported during this particular incursion.
Tensions escalated at the Qalandia military roadblock, where confrontations broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers who invaded the area.
Witnesses said the army fired rubber‑coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas at youths who had set tires ablaze in protest of the occupation’s approval of a law authorizing the execution of Palestinian detainees.
In the southern West Bank, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian shepherds in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
Anti‑colonization activist Osama Makhamra said colonizers from nearby outposts assaulted members of the Alyan Awad family in Wadi Abu Shaban while heavily armed and accompanied by Israeli soldiers.
The colonizers threw stones at the shepherds and attempted to steal their livestock. Instead of stopping the attackers, Israeli soldiers detained the unarmed shepherds.
In the central West Bank, colonizers uprooted several olive trees belonging to resident Mohammad Dawoud Mohammad al‑Deek in the town of Kafr ad‑Deek, west of Salfit. The attack took place in the Khallet ad‑Dahman area northwest of the town.
In a separate incident in the Wadi al‑Sha’er area of Salfit city, colonizers smashed several Palestinian‑owned vehicles, causing damage.
In the central West Bank city of al‑Bireh, Israeli forces deployed foot patrols in the al‑Omari neighborhood and chased several youths through the streets.
Cities and towns across the Ramallah and al‑Bireh governorate continue to experience repeated invasions involving home break‑ins and the pursuit of residents.
Later in the evening, Israeli forces invaded the village of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah in the central West Bank, breaking into several homes before abducting Mohammad Yousef al‑Hanini and transferring him to an undisclosed location. The invasion was accompanied by a heavy military presence throughout the village’s neighborhoods.
Earlier Wednesday, the army carried out a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank, breaking into homes and industrial facilities and abducting Palestinians from Nablus in the northern West Bank, Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, Ramallah in the central West Bank, Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, and occupied Jerusalem.
