Israeli occupation forces killed three Palestinians, including two children, on Friday evening when aircraft opened fire at a group of civilians east of Gaza City, amid escalating violations across the devastated coastal enclave. The incident comes as medical and field sources report additional recent Israeli strikes across Gaza that have caused further fatalities and injuries.

Media sources said Israeli drones and aircraft fired live rounds toward a group of citizens near Moshtaha Street in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, killing all three instantly.

Medical sources identified them as Mahmoud Saher as‑Siqli, 17, Younis Sa’id ‘Ayyad, 17, and Abdullah Tayseer Shomar, 20. Five other Palestinians were injured in the same attack.

The casualties were confirmed following an Israeli military drone strike targeting Moshtaha Street in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood of Gaza City.

The attack came amid continued Israeli violations across the Gaza Strip. Medical sources also reported three other Palestinians killed in separate recent incidents: Ayman An Nabih, 54, who was killed by a drone strike near Gaza Martyrs School in the Tuffah neighborhood; Abed As’ad Qambour, 33, who was shot by an Israeli sniper on Salahuddin Street near Shuja’iyya; and Ismael Aqel Amro, 13, who was killed by live fire near Khalifa School in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.

Israeli artillery also shelled eastern Gaza City, while naval forces opened fire off the coasts of Gaza City and Khan Younis, forcing fishermen to flee.

Local sources reported heavy fire from Israeli tanks east and south of Khan Younis, and naval boats fired several shells off the coast of the city. Witnesses also reported artillery shelling east of Gaza City, coinciding with an airstrike carried out by Israeli warplanes.

Reports from central and southern Gaza described additional recent deadly strikes, but the sources did not specify when these attacks occurred.

In Al Mawasi, Israeli aircraft struck tents sheltering displaced Palestinians, killing at least five, including two children.

In Nuseirat and Bureij, recent airstrikes hit residential homes, causing multiple fatalities and injuries. In Gaza City’s as‑Sidra area, six Palestinians, including two children, were killed in an Israeli strike, according to field reports.

Al Awda Hospital in Nuseirat said it had received 28 bodies, including victims of these and earlier attacks, and those found under rubble.

Medical sources said four Palestinians were injured when an Israeli drone dropped an explosive device in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.

The wounded were transferred to the field hospital operated by the Palestinian Red Crescent in the Al‑Sahra Square area. In northern Gaza, a child was moderately injured when Israeli forces opened fire toward the Halawa camp for displaced families in Jabalia.

UNRWA warned of a rapidly worsening humanitarian situation, confirming that 18 Palestinians were killed and 41 injured between February 26 and March 5 in Israeli attacks across Gaza.

All crossings remain closed except Kerem Shalom, with medical evacuations still halted. The agency reported severe shortages of fuel, cooking gas, medicines, and medical consumables, with nearly half of essential medicines completely out of stock.

More than 71,000 displaced Palestinians are sheltering in 81 UNRWA facilities, and 117 UNRWA buildings now lie inside or adjacent to the Israeli‑militarized “Yellow Line,” requiring Israeli approval for access. UNRWA reiterated that the closure of crossings is preventing the entry of life‑saving supplies and obstructing humanitarian operations.

Al Jazeera reported continued Israeli drone strikes in Khan Younis and central Gaza, including attacks earlier this week that killed a father and his daughter. The network also highlighted worsening shortages of food, fuel, and cooking gas due to the ongoing closure of Gaza’s borders. UN Secretary General António Guterres renewed calls for Israel to reopen all crossings and allow unrestricted humanitarian access.

In its Thursday report, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that since the “ceasefire” announced on October 11, 2025, a total of 651 Palestinians have been killed, 1,741 have been injured, and 756 bodies have been recovered.

The Ministry added that the cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli assault on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,136 Palestinians killed and 171,839 injured. There are still victims trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews remain unable to reach them.
