Israeli forces and colonizers shot and killed a 50-year-old ambulance driver in the village of As-Sawiya, south of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
In 24 hours, the Israeli army has killed 15 Palestinians in the West Bank, resulting in a total of 484 who have been killed by the army and illegal colonizers since the beginning of its onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
On Saturday evening dozens of illegal Israeli colonizers from the “Ali” colony, opened fire in an attack against the citizens of As-Sawiya village, south of Nablus.
Media sources said that settlers shot a 26-year-old young man in the face and 50-year-old man in the chest with live rounds.
According to Paramedic Bashar Qaryouti with the Qaryout Ambulance, Israeli forces and colonizers fired live rounds at the ambulance while its crew was transporting the injuries.
As a result, the ambulance driver, identified as Mohammad Awadallah Mohammad Musa, 50, was killed as a result of the gunshot wounds he sustained.
The Ministry of Health denounced the killing of the ambulance driver in addition to the occupation forces’ obstruction of the work of ambulance crews in the vicinity of Tulkarem Governmental Hospital during the latest attack.
The Ministry called on international health and human rights organizations, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to take urgent action against the escalation of settler violence in the occupied West Bank.
It added that the occupation forces and colonialists targeting paramedics, ambulances, treatment centers and medical personnel, and obstructing their movement and preventing them from reaching the wounded, is a blatant and clear violation of international humanitarian law and international norms and conventions.
