On Thursday evening, a Palestinian succumbed to serious wounds he suffered in northern Gaza, bringing the number of Palestinians who were killed by the army since the temporary truce began on November 24 to four.
Medical sources said the seriously wounded man died at a hospital in Gaza, adding that Israeli soldiers shot him Wednesday while he was inspecting his bombarded home in Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the coastal region.
Since the truce took effect on November 24, the Israeli army committed numerous violations, firing at civilians while trying to return to their homes or inspect the damage and salvage whatever they could, causing several casualties.
The Israeli army fired live rounds and shells at Palestinians in several areas west of Gaza City, especially the Nasr, Tal Al-Hawa, Sheikh Radwan, and Sheikh Ejleen areas.
On November 26, the army killed a Palestinian farmer and injured another while working on their lands east of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
On the first day of the truce, the soldiers killed two Palestinians and injured many as they tried to return to their homes in northern Gaza after heading back there from the southern areas.
It is worth mentioning that at least 15,000 Palestinians, including 6,150 children, were confirmed killed by Israeli forces during, and more than 36000 injured Palestinians, mainly women and children, the 50-day-long bombardment of Gaza, starting October 7.
