A Palestinian man succumbed to his wounds, on Wednesday, one day after Israeli forces shot him with live ammunition in the town of Qusra, southeast of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank. The occupation army also injured two other citizens in the Nablus governorate, one after trying to run him over, and another after assaulting him.
Media sources said that the citizen, Katson Sayel Rabhi Hassan, 46, died on Wednesday evening, one day after occupation forces shot him in the chest with live rounds, on Tuesday evening, while he was on his rooftop in the town of Qusra.
In a brief statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed, “the death of a citizen, who succumbed to critical wounds he sustained after the occupation forces opened fire on him yesterday, Tuesday, in the town of Qusra.”
On Tuesday evening, Israeli forces shot the slain, Hassan, after invading Qusra town, and firing live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters at citizens; he was transported to hospital in Nablus where he succumbed to his wounds.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers injured a Palestinian young man, and opened fire with live rounds towards citizens, after a large army force invaded the city of Nablus, on Wednesday morning.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its ambulance crews transported a 20-year-old man to the hospital after he sustained facial injuries when soldiers attempted to ram him with their military vehicle.
Media sources said that the army invaded several areas in the city of Nablus, sparking protests, including the city center, the eastern marketa area, and in the vicinity of the Al-Ein, Balata, Askar, and New Askar refugee camps.
Furthermore, occupation forces assaulted a Palestinian citizen, on Wednesday afternoon, at the Al-Muraba’ah military roadblock, southwest of the city.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers stationed at the Al-Muraba’ah military roadblock stopped a vehicle, forced the citizen out of the vehicle, and assaulted him, before closing the roadblock and causing a traffic crisis.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 817 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 169 children, and injured 6,450.
The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 222 in Jenin, 183 in Tulkarem, 91 in Nablus, 77 in Hebron, 66 in Tubas, 59 in Ramallah, 50 in occupied Jerusalem, 33 in Qalqilia, 20 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 45,097 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 107,244 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remain buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
