Qara’een added that the Israeli Municipality handed a demolition notice to his family house, which is comprised of 2 stories, including his house, and built 22 years ago. He clarified that since he has lived in the house, Israeli Municipality pursued him and imposed a fine of 65,000 NIS on him in 2015; 54,000 were paid and other installments are paying monthly. Abu Kaf added that over the past years, he tried to license the house and he paid more than 300,000 NIS for engineers and lawyers in order to license the house and delay the demolition, but in vain. He indicated that at the end of 2021, the municipality insisted to self-demolish his house, or its staff will do so and impose a fine of 150,000 NIS on him.
Before demolishing his house, he received a phone call from the Israeli police informing him that they gave him until 04:00 to implement the demolition, or the municipality staff will move into the area and demolish the house.
