Israeli forces shot two Palestinians, on Thursday, including a child who was seriously injured during a new large-scale invasion into the city of Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported a 12-year-old child to the hospital after he sustained a serious gunshot wound to the head.

Earlier, the PRCS reported that its ambulance crews transported a 26-year-old man to the hospital, after he was shot in the leg with live ammunition while he was in the Schools Street area of ​​Qalqilia city.

Media sources reported that soldiers carried out a wide-scale incursion, storming and searching many citizens’ homes, while opening fire with live rounds and rubber-coated steel rounds.

WAFA correspondent reported that occupation forces stormed Qalqilia city at 1:30 AM, and deployed several infantry units in the Kafr Saba, Nazzal, Al-Qur’an, and Ghayatha neighborhoods, Al-Wad Street, Nablus Street, the Interior Ministry roundabout, and Abu Anan hill in Qalqilia.

Occupation forces stormed a commercial shop and abused the citizens inside, stopped and searched vehicles, and imposed a curfew on the Kafr Saba neighborhood, instructing them not to leave their homes.

The army occupied a citizen’s home and converted it into a military barracks used to detain and interrogate a number of Palestinians.

Furthermore, occupation forces detained Palestine TV correspondent Ahmad Shawar, photojournalist Bashar Nazzal, and driver Ayman Harsh releasing them later.

Later in the morning, the army withdrew from most areas except the Kafr Saba neighborhood, closing its entrances with earth mounds. Soldiers invaded several citizens’ homes, including the families of slain and imprisoned Palestinians.
