On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, searched several homes, and abducted a Palestinian.

Media sources said several military vehicles invaded the town before undercover forces infiltrated the al‑Qurna area and stormed a home.

They added that the undercover forces abducted a former political prisoner, Ahmad Yousef Hasan Ikhlayyel, 35, before taking him to an unknown destination.

Local media activist Mohammad Awad said the army has been trying to abduct Ikhlayyel for several months and added that the soldiers fired barrages of live rounds at his home before storming it and abducting him after a two‑hour siege.

Awad stated that Ikhlayyel is also a former political prisoner who was imprisoned by Israel for eleven years.

In related news, several Israeli military vehicles invaded Anata town, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, and were deployed in a number of neighborhoods before withdrawing.
