Israeli forces abducted an injured Palestinian man, on Saturday, after invading a medical center in Silwad town, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that occupation forces invaded the Silwad Emergency Center, on Saturday afternoon, and abducted the young man, Musa Faraj, in his twenties, who receiving treatment for inhalation injuries.
Sources added that soldiers assaulted medical staff, after storming and ransacking the medical center, while local Palestinians protested the incursion.
Soldiers opened fire towards citizens with concussion grenades and tear gas canisters, causing several people to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Ministry of Health condemned the storming of the Silwad Emergency Center, and the attack against medical personnel and patients.
The Ministry affirmed that today’s attack violates all international laws and conventions that stipulate the protection of treatment centers, medical staff, and patients.
A similar attack occurred on Wednesday, when undercover Israeli agents “Musta’ribeen” kidnapped an injured young man who was receiving treatment at the Arab Specialized Hospital in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
In January 2024, undercover Israeli agents “Musta’ribeen” infiltrated the Ibn Sina Hospital in the northern West Bank city of Jenin and assassinated three young men, one of whom was a patient receiving treatment in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces searched several citizens’ vehicles and confiscated three vehicles after invading the town of Birzeit, north of Ramallah.
Media sources said that the army stormed the Birzeit town, on Saturday afternoon, closed its northern entrance, searched citizens’ vehicles, and seized three privately-owned vehicles.
Furthermore, on Saturday evening, Israeli forces stormed the village of Nabi Saleh, broke in to several citizens’ homes, and abducted the young man, Wiam Iyad al-Tamimi, 24.
Sources added that a reconnaissance drone hovered over the village while occupation soldiers opened fire with live rounds and concussion grenades; no injuries were reported.
In related news, a group of illegal Israeli colonizers brutally assaulted a Palestinian citizen and damaged his vehicle in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
Lafi Adeeb, the Mayor of Turmus Ayya, told the WAFA News Agency that on Saturday afternoon, masked colonizers attacked the citizen, Saed Mustafa Diab, causing moderate injuries, and damaged his vehicles.
Another group of illegal settlers attacked Palestinian citizens in the village of Taybeh, northeast of Ramallah, on Saturday afternoon.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews transported two young men to hospital after they sustained injuries as a result of the assault.
