Israeli soldiers assaulted, on Wednesday morning, a Palestinian child just a few hours after his release from a detention facility.

The Head of the Palestinian Association for Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners, Mohammad Hamida, said the soldiers, stationed at the Container military roadblock, northeast of Bethlehem, repeatedly assaulted the child, identified as Ma’rouf Ahmad al-Atrash, 15, causing cuts and bruises.

Hamida added that the soldiers briefly detained the child at the roadblock, before releasing him.

It is worth mentioning that Ma’rouf was heading back home following his release from an Israeli detention facility, after serving an eight-month prison sentence.
