On Saturday, Israeli soldiers injured many Palestinians, including an infant who suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, and a woman who was shot in the leg, in several parts of the West Bank.
Medical sources said that two young men and an infant girl suffered from suffocation on Saturday evening during an Israeli military invasion of the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its teams treated three Palestinians for the severe effects of tear gas inhalation, including a two-month-old infant, before transferring them to a hospital.
Earlier, the soldiers invaded the refugee camp, leading to protests during which they fired live rounds and tear gas canisters at residents and their homes before withdrawing.
In addition, a young man, 29, sustained bruises after being assaulted by Israeli soldiers in the village of Salem, east of Nablus.
Ahmad Jibril, spokesperson for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, stated that ambulance crews transported a 28-year-old man after soldiers beat him during the invasion of the village.
The soldiers also invaded Beita town, south of Nablus, leading to protests, before the soldiers fired live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
Furthermore, a young man was shot by Israeli soldiers on Saturday evening near the Annexation Wall west of Baqa al-Sharqiya, north of Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank.
The PRCS in Tulkarm reported that its teams treated a 35-year-old man from Jenin after the soldiers shot him with live fire near the Annexation Wall, west of Baqa al-Sharqiya before its medics transported him to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm.
In Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, the soldiers shot a Palestinian woman on Saturday evening in the Al-Arroub refugee camp, north of the city.
Medical sources said protests erupted after the soldiers invaded the refugee camp, during which soldiers fired live bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets, and sound bombs at residents and their homes.
The sources added that a woman was shot in the leg while inside her home before medics transported her to a hospital with moderate wounds.
In related news, the soldiers invaded the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem in the West Bank, and stationed their vehicles in the “Um Rukba” area in the south, before firing live bullets into the air.
It is worth mentioning that, in recent days, Israeli forces have escalated their attacks on Al-Khader through repeated invasions, firing bullets, concussion grenade bombs, and tear gas bombs at residents and their homes, resulting in many injuries.
