Earlier Tuesday, several Israeli military vehicles invaded Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, shot a young man and abducted another.

Media sources said the soldiers invaded the town just as schoolchildren were heading to their educational facilities, and closed streets, leading to protests.

They added that the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs at the Palestinians, moderately wounding a young man with a live round in the thigh.

The sources also said that many Palestinians, mainly schoolchildren, suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In addition, the soldiers abducted a young man, Rabea’ Mohammad Abu Ayyash, 24, after invading his home in the town and ransacking it.
