Israeli occupation forces shot a Palestinian youth and abducted six others, including two women, during overnight invasions across the Hebron governorate in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
Media sources said the youth was shot in the thigh near his home in the Tabaqa village, near Dura town, southwest Hebron.
The soldiers added that the army blocked ambulances we from reaching the wounded young man, and he was left to bleed for nearly an hour before Palestinian medics managed to evacuate him to Dura Government Hospital. His condition was described as moderate.
In Dura, soldiers abducted Ahmad Mohammad Hamdan after invading and storming and ransacking his family’s home.
In Bani Na’im town, east of Hebron, the soldiers abducted Mustafa Essam Manasra, Hazem Abdullah Issa Manasra, and Ala’ Mohammad Gharib, after storming and ransacking their homes, in addition to seizing money from Gharib’s residence.
Further abductions were reported in Hebron city, where Anis Abdul-Wadoud Gheith was taken, and in Taffuh, where Isra’ Khmaysa was also abducted from her home.
Furthermore, the soldiers set up military roadblocks across Hebron’s towns, villages, and refugee camps, sealing off key roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
In related news, the soldiers invaded central Ramallah, in central West Bank, deploying units around al-Manara Square and Irsal Street before storming the offices of Al-Jazeera News Network. Israeli occupation authorities then delivered another order shutting down Al-Jazeera for an additional 60 days.
This marks the fourth time the occupation has forcibly closed Al-Jazeera’s Ramallah office under military decree, part of a broader campaign targeting press freedom and media coverage in the occupied West Bank.
