On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern region, shot three children, and abducted a father and his daughter.
Local activist Mohammad Awad stated that the soldiers invaded several neighborhoods in the town, closed streets, and fired live rounds at worshippers near Beit Ummar Mosque in the town center, leading to protests.
Awad added that the soldiers shot three children, all aged 16, with live rounds: two in the thigh and one in the leg.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its medics transported the injured Palestinians to a clinic in the town before transferring them to a hospital in Hebron city.
During the invasion, the soldiers stormed and ransacked homes, before abducting Mahmoud Khader Abu Mariya and his 18-year-old daughter, Ghena.
Late Wednesday night, Israeli soldiers fatally shot a young Palestinian man, shot Ismael Samer Othman Shorafa, 18, near Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
On Tuesday before dawn, Israeli forces assassinated a Palestinian young man, Baraa Saleh Khalil Yousef Maskawi,19, and injured others before dawn Tuesday, after special forces besieged a commercial shop in the city of Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
The number of slain Palestinians in the West Bank since the beginning of this year is now 112; 49 in Jenin, 19 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 14 in Nablus, 5 in Hebron, 3 in Bethlehem, 3 in Qalqilia, 1 in Salfit, 1 in Ramallah, and 3 in Jerusalem.
On Wednesday evening and night, Israeli soldiers continued bombing and shelling various parts of the destroyed, besieged, and starved Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.
Earlier Wednesday, Israeli forces have killed and injured dozens of Palestinians in Gaza, including a mother and her six-month-old baby in northern Jabalia.
It is worth mentioning that, since Israel resumed the bombing of Gaza on March 18, the army has killed more than 800 Palestinians, and injured at least 1660, mostly children and women across the destroyed coastal enclave.
Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 50,144 Palestinians are confirmed dead and 113,704 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza that began October 7, 2023. Gaza’s Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of Palestinians missing under the rubble are presumed dead since October 7, 2023.
