Israeli soldiers attacked Friday, the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, shot three Palestinian and caused many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, in addition to abducting one.
The Palestinians marched from the center of the village while chanting against the Israeli occupation and its escalating violations before the soldiers attacked them with live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.
Morad Eshteiwi, the media coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Kufur Qaddoum, said the soldiers shot three Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Eshteiwi added that the soldiers also chased many Palestinians and ambushed a young man, Mohammad Nidal Aqel, 25, near an under-construction home, before assaulting and abducting him.
Kufur Qaddoum is subject to constant Israeli invasions and violations due to ongoing protests against ongoing military escalation, the illegal colonialist policies, and the illegal annexation of the Palestinian lands.
In 2003, the Israeli occupation authorities closed the town’s main road to local Palestinians and granted full access to the illegal colonial settlers, especially those living in the Kedumim colony built on stolen Palestinian lands.
