Two Palestinians, one of them a 13‑year‑old child, were wounded by live Israeli fire during an invasion of al‑Am‘ari refugee camp south of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank earlier Tuesday.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said in a brief statement that its medical teams treated two injuries: a child struck by live ammunition and a young man shot in the thigh. Both were transferred to hospital for treatment.
Witnesses reported that undercover Israeli special forces stormed the refugee camp in the morning hours, spreading through its alleys and raiding several homes.
The assault was followed by the arrival of multiple Israeli military vehicles. Soldiers broke into additional homes and occupied rooftops, turning them into monitoring positions and firing posts
