On Monday, Palestinian medical sources confirmed the death of three children due to hunger and malnutrition in the devastated Gaza Strip, bringing the number of Palestinians who died from malnutrition to 28.
The sources said the three children died at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, bringing the number of children who died due to the same reasons at the hospital, to 21.
There are also eleven children, including newborns, who are in the Intensive Care Unit of the same hospital that became unable to provide even basic services.
They added that the hospital, as well as all the destroyed and devastated medical centers, especially in northern Gaza, ran out of basic medical and humanitarian supplies.
Their deaths bring the number of Palestinians, including babies and children, who died from malnutrition and the lack of medical supplies to at least 27, while the numbers could be much higher but not reported due to the ongoing Israeli bombing and siege.
The Palestinians, especially in the northern parts of the Gaza Strip, the central parts, and Gaza City, are the most impacted by the constant Israeli bombing, destruction, and the lack of basic supplies.
Israel is also still obstructing and preventing food and basic medical and humanitarian aid from reaching various parts of the coastal enclave, especially the northern areas, while the aid reaching southern Gaza is minimal especially since about 1.3 million displaced Palestinians are now in Rafah, in the southmost part of the Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of Palestinians have also been killed and injured after Israeli soldiers opened fire at them while awaiting aid trucks and supplies.
Israel has now killed at least 31.112 Palestinians and injured more than 72.760, mostly women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
