Israeli forces shot, on Tuesday, five Palestinians during the besieging of the Nur Shams and Tulkarem refugee camps, and abducted six, including a young man who sustained a live gunshot wound in Tulkarem city, in the northwestern part of the West Bank.

On Tuesday morning, occupation forces abducted two Palestinian brothers, one of whom they shot, in the Thanaba suburb, northeast of Tulkarem.

Media sources said that several Israeli military vehicles invaded the Thanaba suburb, besieged the Sayyah family home, opened fire at it, and abducted the brothers, Mohammad Bilal Abu Sayyah and Imad Abu Sayyah.

Sources added that occupation soldiers shot Imad with live ammunition, and denied him medical treatment, before abducting him; the severity of his injuries was not known at the time of writing this report.

Later, the army stormed the city of Tulkarem and besieged the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, accompanied by heavy machinery, and fired tear gas canisters in the northern part of the city.

Media sources said that occupation forces positioned sharpshooters in tall buildings surrounding the camps, pushed military reinforcements, including bulldozers toward the camps.

Sources added that four bulldozers caused destruction to infrastructure at the entrances to both the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, coinciding with the overhead flight of reconnaissance drones.

Hours later, occupation forces continued to surround the Tulkarem refugee camp, while soldiers invaded several neighborhoods and bulldozers destroyed streets and the main water network.

Media sources said that the army maintained a strict siege on the Nur Shams refugee camp, while Israeli bulldozers destroyed citizens’ shops and homes, and soldiers burned a commercial shop belonging to the citizen, Ibrahim Al-Shabrawi.

Sources added that Israeli sharpshooters occupied the rooftops of citizens’ homes, turning them into military barracks, while soldiers broke into dozens of homes, detained their residents and subjected them to interrogation.

Meanwhile, in the Iktaba suburb, east of the city, Israeli soldiers stormed the home of the young man, Saleh al-Ghanem, before assaulting and abducting him.

On Tuesday evening, Israeli forces shot three Palestinians with live ammunition during the military incursion into the Nur Shams and Tulkarem camps.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews transported a 63-year-old man to hospital after occupation forces shot him in the face with live ammunition in the Tulkarem refugee camp.

Media sources said that Israeli soldiers shot a 24-year-old man in the leg and a 19-year-old man in the hand, in the Tulkarem camp.

Furthermore, the army abducted three Palestinian young men in the city of Tulkarem, on Tuesday night, and injured two others in the Nur Shams refugee camp.

Media sources said that soldiers abducted the citizens, Abdul Rahman Hamdan and Abdul Rahman Jamal Sarouji after invading a mosque in the western neighborhood of the city.

In the eastern part of the city, Israeli forces abducted Raafat Salah Hassan Saeed, after storming his home in the “Al-Salam” neighborhood.

The PRCS said that its ambulance crews transported a 63-year-old man to hospital, on Tuesday night, after soldiers shot him in the leg with live bullet fragments in the Nur Shams camp.

Occupation forces also brutally assaulted a 27-year-old man in the Nur Shams camp; PRCS ambulance crews transported him to hospital for treatment.
