On Friday, Israeli forces shot and killed two Jordanian citizens who breached the Israeli border between Jordan and Israel during an exchange of fire.

Media sources said that occupation forces killed the Jordanian citizens, Hussam Abu Ghazaleh and Amer Qawas, after they crossed the Israeli border and carried out a shooting operation, injuring two Israeli soldiers.

Sources added that the young men recited their wills on video, conveying a message to the Jordanian people to stand against the Israeli occupation, cross the border and attack the occupiers, announcing the start of the “Jordan Flood operations”.

In the video, Qawas questioned the reason for the silence regarding the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, and recalled the heroic stories of past Jordanians who carried out resistance operations against the Israeli occupation before them.

Qawas warned of the potential Israeli threat to Jordan and stressed that he carried out the operation in rejection of injustice, and denied his affiliation with any organized group.

The army announced that “during the exchange of fire, an Israeli soldier and another reserve soldier were injured,” after the two Jordanians cut the border fence and infiltrated Israel.
