On Sunday evening, medical sources confirmed the death of two Palestinians who were shot and seriously injured by Israeli army fire, on August 6, 2024, in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

Wisam Bakr, the head of the Jenin Governmental Hospital, has confirmed the deaths of Sobhi Ahmad Al-Bath, 36, from Jenin city, and Kifah Essam Dabaya, 34, from the Jenin refugee camp.

Bakr added that Al-Bath was shot and seriously injured before he was moved to the hospital, and the other slain young man, Dabaya, was also seriously injured in the Israeli attack before the soldiers abducted him.

The Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs said the Israeli side informed it of Dabaya’s death, on Sunday night.

It is worth mentioning that, during last week’s attack, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a car in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, instantly killing five young men, in addition to wounding six others, including Al-Bath, by shrapnel and live rounds.

Badaya, along with two young men, Walid Jamal Mohammad Hussein, 33, and Hamada Farahati, were injured by Israeli fire before the soldiers abducted them when the army invaded Kafr Qud village, west of Jenin.

During the Israeli invasion, the soldiers killed Walid Jamal Mohammad Hussein, 33, and Khader Hussein Qatna, 33, before the army took their corpses to an unknown destination and has since been refusing to release them.

It is worth noting that on August 6, the Israeli army killed twelve Palestinians in Jenin, Tubas, and Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

In a joint statement, the Palestinians Detainee’s Committee and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said that they were only informed that Dabaya’s body is still at Rambam Israeli hospital and added that the Israeli authorities never informed them of any details regarding his condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

The deaths of the two young men bring the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers in the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 622, including 145 children and nine women.

The Detainees Committee and the Prisoners’ Society said the deaths of the two Palestinians are added to the list of Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian people, since October 7.

They added that, over the last three years, the Israeli army intensified its illegal policies of field executions of Palestinians during invasions of various parts of the occupied West Bank, in addition to the abductions of dozens of wounded Palestinians.

Since October 7, 2023, the number of detained Palestinians from the West Bank, who died in Israeli custody has reached 22, in addition to the dozens from the Gaza Strip who died in detention, especially due to torture, abuse, and the absence of medical attention, but Israel still refuses to release details about them.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that, in the last 24 hours, the Israeli army committed three massacres of families in the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, among them 40 slain Palestinians and 140 injured who were moved to hospitals, in addition to many who remain under the rubble.

The Health Ministry added that Israel has now killed 39.790 Palestinians, including more than 16.365 children and 11.012 women, and injured more than 91.702, mostly children, women, and elderly, in addition to the thousands (about 10.000, including 4.700 children and women) who remain under the rubble, in various parts of the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.

It also stated that among the slain Palestinians are 882 medical staff, including 500 health workers and 79 Civil Defense, more than 165 journalists, 496 educational staff, and 203 UN staff.
