Two Palestinian young men were injured on Friday after being assaulted by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers east of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Tubas said its medics treated two Palestinians who suffered injuries from a severe beating carried out by colonizers in the Aqaba–Tayasir area, east of Tubas.

The victims were attacked while working on their land when a group of colonizers invaded the area and began assaulting them with clubs and rifle butts, causing multiple injuries that required medical intervention.

Local residents reported that colonizer attacks in the Aqaba–Tayasir corridor have intensified in recent weeks, as groups of colonizers attempt to impose control over agricultural areas and restrict Palestinian access to their lands.

In related news, several illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded the Wadi ash‑Sha’er area in al‑Lubban ash‑Sharqiya, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, attacked Palestinians tending to their lands, and attempted to burn a car before local residents forced them to flee.

Also, Israeli colonizers stole a tent and agricultural tools and prevented Palestinian farmers from reaching their lands in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

The assaults come amid a wider escalation of colonizer violence across the occupied West Bank, including repeated invasions of farmland, destruction of property, and attempts to forcibly displace Palestinian families from rural areas.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.

Articles 53 and 147, prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.
